The Coffee machine Design competition

The brief required to design a a disruptive product, with a unique and international style, able to adapt to the several environments, from your home to your office, that thanks to the technological innovation and ease of use allows you to obtain different beverage typologies with one single machine.

My entry Palladio is an automatic capsule coffee machine, with a very distinctive and unique design.
Its shape is made of pure volumes like an architectural piece, yet each volume has a specific function: a pure water sphere, a cube for exhausted capsules, and the main body for processing the beverages.
The automatic cup tray adjusts its height depending on the kind of beverage, hence it will stay low for big cups (like in the case of cappuccino, latte, tea or hot chocolate) and will raise up for the small espresso coffee cup.
The base has space for the box of new capsules, while the exhausted tank is accessible gently pushing a button.
The horizontal automatic tray opens for loading a fresh capsule after selecting the beverage from the capacitive touch display, while at the same time the cup tray adjusts its height accordingly.
The crystal clear water tank has a lid on top for refill.
